Ladysmith Village Summer Concert Series presents The Janitors

July 10, 2009

Ladysmith Village is hosting its second concert of summer 2009 on Sunday, July 26 from 5:00-9:00 PM at the community outdoor amphitheater stage.

The summer concerts bring families together for a night of fun and relaxation.

All concert proceeds will benefit the Caroline County Food Pantry, helping individuals in need throughout Caroline County.

Concert admission is free for Ladysmith Village residents and all children under 12. Non-residents may purchase tickets at the concert for $10 plus a non-perishable food item.

The summer concert features the soulful singing of The Janitors, one of the most sought after groups in the region offering a high energy show, extensive song list of Rythm & Blues, 60's Soul, 70's Funk, Country, Classic Rock and current Top 40 Dance to keep people of all ages dancing from the first note until the last. Originally formed in the fall of 1982, The Janitors were based at Virginia Tech and played clubs and special events throughout Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina until October 1986. During that time the band became enormously popular, frequently being sought out for larger and larger shows. The band reformed in 1988 and are now based in Virginia Beach.
