This weekend, the growing planned community of Ladysmith Village is throwing a two-day grand opening event to officially welcome its two new homebuilders to the community. Homebuilder The Christopher Companies offers three different homes priced from $189,990 and Ryan Homes has just announced it will be offering townhomes priced from $149,990.
"With the addition of two new builders this year, Ladysmith Village is starting to emerge from the nation's housing recession as a thriving new-home community once again," says Tracy Graves, Vice President of Newland Communities. "Already four homes by The Christopher Companies and one home by Ryan Homes have sold prior to the Grand Opening weekend."
Ryan Homes - the second homebuilder to join Ladysmith Village in 2009
Just this month, Ryan Homes joined the Ladysmith Village builder team with its plans to construct the master-planned new townhomes. The 1,280-1,484 square-foot two-story traditional brownstone townhomes are now available for pre-sale and priced from $149,990. Model townhomes will be open to tour in September. Ryan Homes is the number one homebuilder in the Washington Metropolitan and Richmond markets.
Grand Opening Celebration runs from noon to 5 pm June 13-14
Visitors and residents are invited to come by Ladysmith Village from noon to 5 pm on Saturday, June 13. Two blocks of downtown Ladysmith will be closed for the big street party. Events include:
- Community and model home tours.
- Free tips from mortgage experts and interior decorators.
- Wine tasting, live music, fitness, yoga and salsa dancing instruction.
- For kids there will be a Moon Bounce, a trackless train ride and life-size cartoon characters roaming about the event to enjoy
Summer Concert Series begins at 5 pm Saturday night
Back by popular demand, the Ladysmith Summer Concert series returns for the second year running on Saturday, June 13, with the Power Play Band of Virginia Beach. Starting at 5 pm, this multi-piece dance band will bring sounds from the 1950’s through today to the outdoor amphitheater stage. The concert is free for residents and $10 for visitors with all proceeds from the concert going to a local non-profit. Another summer concert is planned for July 26, 2009.
